Meatco Foundation comes to Rehoboth’s school aid

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Meatco Foundation has been collecting various items that will be donated to students at J & W Mouton Primary School.

The collection drive comes after the school wrote to the Foundation in January seeking assistance.

The Foundation has been collecting different items ranging from blankets, soccer kits and equipment, to stationery and printers.

According to Meatco Foundation Administrator, Nadia van Wyk, one of the main reasons why the Foundation chose to help this school is because it is located on a small farm outside Rehoboth.

“This school is not just catering for children in the Southern part of the country, but we have come to learn that most of the children come from the Northern parts of the country, where Meatco and its Foundation have been making efforts to improve the livestock production and livelihoods of communal farmers and communities,” Van Wyk said.

“In this way, the Foundation, through Meatco, contributes to the development and education of the southern areas. The Foundation also has future projects planned in the South of Namibia.”
